Uh~Oh

pretty bird ~ but not in my backyard!!!

Look what we saw this morning lurking around the chicken coop. I've locked up the girls in their run which they will stay! They're not super happy, but the husband will be expanding their run this weekend, so they will have more room to do whatever it is that chickens do...

He (she?) looks kinda hungry

This sucker was BIG and not intimidated at all. I was waving a trash can lid around, and it actually bomb dived me.

  2. We had one of those in our backyard, standing on a branch overlooking our rabbit cages, last week. I'm not sure, but I assumed it was a cooper's hawk. Maybe they are having a recession also and need more food ...just kidding. We are hoping (my youngest and I) our rabbits are too chubby to be snatched up!

  3. Hi! I'm actually grew up in NW Pennsylvania, but have been in DE 33 years. I live outside of Newark, but I've always driven my kids to Catholic schools in Wilmington...it is a very nice city, although the crime has greatly increased! It is such a small state..it is funny how many people I know that I've seen driving on I-95 or down at the shore!

  6. That is neat to hear! So you are a native Delawarean. My kids went to holy angels, then I switched them to st anthony's...then h.s. at sallies, padua, and st e's. I miss the country, but I appreciate the good schools that we used!

  9. Oh gosh I am terrified of birds! I know that's ridiculous but they freak me out! Owls too! I love them but they scare me so much!
