Living a simple life in a cottage by the sea.

November

Photo of my Dad's backyard

"So dull and dark are the November days.
The lazy mist high up the evening curled,
And now the morn quite hides in smoke and haze;
The place we occupy seems all the world."

~ John Clare

It has been quite awhile since I've  blogged.
Been busy doing this and that, you know regular day to day living.
 I've taken a trip back to my childhood home to visit my Dad.  It was lovely seeing the changing leaves, something we don't have down here in South Mississippi.
I've also noticed quite a few blogs I used to follow don't post as often either, maybe the blogging fad has worn out or been taken over by Facebook.  I still have a Facebook account but it just doesn't have  any thing creative about it like a blog does, oh we'll.

Can you believe next week is Thanksgiving?  Are you all getting ready?  I love this holiday, lots of food and family time.

I have found some really pretty clothes lately while thrifting as well as a few new pieces.  My style has evolved to wearing jeans along with feminine blouses.  Sort of a romantic country girl vibe.  Suits me very well at this stage of my life.  Oh, and I got my hair cut short!  I love it, it's so easy to take care of now.  My challenge will be to have it trimmed on a regular basis and not feel guilty about treating myself to nice looking hair.

I hope all is well with everyone out there, I don't know if anyone will find my blog, it's been so long.

Have a wonderful weekend!
