January Musings

"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant."
- Anne Bradstreet

Every time I think to write a post, I can't think of much to say!
The last week or so have been a bit challenging as I sprained my ankle while out walking. I was using crutches for awhile which made doing housework oh so fun.

I know many people seem to enjoy January, but I'm not one of them. I just look ahead to March, as I find these winter months full of memories of loved ones that have passed.

The other days made a trip to the thrift store, I hadn't been there since before Thanksgiving.  That must be some kind of record for me!  I found four pretty blouses that I paid less than ten dollars.  I do (try) to get rid of one thing for every new thing that I bring home. On the whole I've been pretty good about this and it keeps my closet and drawers from being stuffed.

My favorite find. Cotton voile, soft, lovely blouse.

This will be lovely come summer.

It's hard to tell, but this blouse has some very pretty lace inserts.

I love this top. Yes, it's short, but will be worn over a tee shirt.

I wanted to show you the pretty gloves my husband got me for Christmas!

I hope you all are finding lovely ways to brighten up the winter months.
